The times have changed, long gone are the days where a disposable camera recorded those precious moments that you look back on. Now photos are taken with a click of a button and sent straight up to the cloud. But, are those quick snaps going to be enough when you want to look back on the moments you hold dearest?

There is and always will be the ongoing debate of whether you need professional photos or whether your quick snaps are sufficient and well, honestly? That is a choice that only you can make. I know that as a family, we often dig out the old photos and reminice over the days when we had all of our loved ones around us. To me, there is nothing better than holding a print and watching my children look at my best memories on paper. Call me old fashioned but, in a time where technology is filling our everyday lives, there is something beautiful about the simplicity of a printed picture. Those physical photographs bring those memories to life in a way that digitals cannot and can be displayed around your house for you to enjoy.
Professional photos allow you the time and opportunity of exploring different settings and enhance the visual appeal and clarity of your pictures. Whether you prefer matt or glossy photos, canvas' or acrylic prints, professional prints elevate your photos into visually beautiful art for you to display.
So many times I have changed or upgraded my device and lost all of my images and videos, moments that mattered most to me. Unfortunatley digital files can become corrupted, lost or even outdated due to the continuous advances in technology. Yet, those prints you have are still safely stored away waiting for their time to be taken out and shared with your friends and family again.

There is something beautiful about selecting your images and displaying them. The personal touch makes your house feel like a home. Likewise, having the guidance of a professional to help advise on the frames, albums and displays to best show your prints is second to none and makes the process even easier.
In our family, there is a beauty in gifting a photo to a friend or family member. Be it an imae from your newborn photography session to their Grandparent or photobook of those cherished memories to your partner, the act of giving a printed photograph shows that you were thinking of them and provides the personal touch that a digital photo simply cannot.
Whether professional prints are the way forward for you, hopefully this post has given you something to think about. Personally, I love a printed image, however, for those technologically advanced ones among us digital may be the way forward.
Which ever you decide, continue to capture those images and hold those memories close because whilst memories fade, photographs don't.
